What Are We?....
New Era Nursery is located in the beautiful Kickapoo River
Valley of southwestern Wisconsin. Our country greenhouses are centrally located
in the Hillsboro, La Farge, and Ontario. You no longer have to take a long
drive for top quality plants and trees to dress up your outdoor living area.
Our nursery features a large selection of Perennials,
Ornamental Grasses, Hardy Roses, Fruit Trees, Small Fruits, Shrubs, and Shade
Trees. Our focus is on plants that will add beauty to your landscape for years
to come. We do not grow annuals, vegetables, or bedding plants.
Our Story....
It all started with a few large, glass windows in 1997, when Kim brought them home to build a very small greenhouse for Karen. The small building would first be intended for Karen’s personal growing hobby. One day, while out on business, Kim came across an older couple looking to sell their three greenhouses. They took the plunge and bought them, and what once was a project to help Karen grow her plants in her backyard, grew itself. New Era Nursery started out as a place to buy perennials and grasses, but as they grew they soon became the destination for trees, shrubs, small fruits and roses. Nearly a decade after buying those three greenhouses, they began doing landscaping jobs to share their passion for growth with the community. New Era Nursery is now a successful wholesale and retail location, with two stores, The Cottage that sells gardening supplies for your growing adventure and Songbird Central with everything for feeding the birds, metal garden art, educational toys and lots of unique gifts.
